How to use Photo Editor

Edit photos in your browser: crop, rotate, adjust brightness and colour, add text and export a copy. Process your images locally without uploads.

  1. Choose a photo. Zoom and Pan view help you inspect details; choose Drag to select to crop.
  2. Rotate by quarter-turns or apply a custom angle, adjust colour, add text or draw. Output size offers common social layouts. Background colour fills transparent areas.
  3. Use Undo or Redo, choose an export format and Prepare download. Zoom changes only the preview, not output dimensions.

What to expect

Edits run locally. Crop, rotate and colour operations flatten existing text layers; Undo restores the earlier editable state. History is bounded to limit memory use. This is a focused raster editor, not a RAW editor or a Photoshop replacement.

Are images uploaded?

No. These tools use local browser processing and have no image-upload endpoint. The site can still use normal hosting logs and its existing Analytics setup.

Which images are supported?

Static JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 20 MB, 8 megapixels and 8,192 pixels per side. Animated images, SVG, HEIC, RAW, PDF and video are not supported.

Can I undo my edits?

Editing tools keep a limited recent history during the session. Use Undo and Redo. Closing or refreshing the page discards unsaved work.

What happens when I download?

Image editors export a new flattened file without overwriting your original. Colour tools let you copy colour values; palette extraction also provides a text download.

HOW IT WORKS

How browser photo editing works

See how crop, colour adjustments, text and drawing change pixels locally before the browser encodes your edited photo.

Pixel adjustments

Brightness offsets colour values, contrast changes their distance from a midtone, and saturation changes their distance from luminance.

Geometry and drawing

Crop and orientation operations change the pixel grid. Freehand strokes are drawn into the image; each completed stroke is one undo step.

History and export

Recent states remain in memory during the session. Export creates a flattened PNG, JPG or WebP; closing the page discards unsaved edits.
