This page explains the data handling of Image Compress Tool, operated by Digital Kingdom. For privacy questions, contact hello@digitalkingdom.co.za.
Images selected in the tools
Compression, conversion, resizing, comparisons and ZIP creation run locally in your browser. The image-tool plugin does not upload selected images or their filenames to our server, and does not maintain an image library or account for you. Download your results before leaving or clearing the list.
Your browser and device handle the local files and downloads. Re-encoding may change or remove embedded metadata. If an original is retained because re-encoding made it larger, its metadata is retained too. Use the dedicated metadata cleaner to remove supported metadata. None of these tools guarantees anonymity.
Website requests and hosting
Opening the website sends normal request information to the services that deliver it. This can include your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Hosting and security services may process this information to deliver pages, maintain availability and investigate errors or abuse. This is separate from the image processing that happens on your device.
Contact us if you need details about current hosting providers, processing locations or log retention. These depend on the hosting and security services in use.
Optional AI background removal
AI portrait mode downloads a browser library and model files from jsDelivr and Hugging Face. These providers receive normal download request information, such as IP address and browser details. Selected image pixels are processed locally, not sent to their inference services. Model assets may be cached by your browser. Solid-colour mode does not require this AI download.
Cookies and other services
The image tools themselves do not require a user account, set advertising cookies or upload images to third-party image-processing APIs; usage measurement is described below. WordPress administration and any separately added website services may use their own cookies or process visit information. Image-processing privacy should not be interpreted as a promise that opening a website creates no network requests.
Messages you send us
If you email us, your email service and ours process the message. We receive the address, message and any attachments you choose to send, and use them to respond and investigate your request. Please avoid sending sensitive images or information. Contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you have supplied.
Links and changes
Guides may link to other websites. Those sites handle information under their own policies. We will update this page when the service or its data handling changes.
Google Analytics and Search Console
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and use of our image tools, and Google Search Console to review how the site appears in Google Search. Site Kit by Google connects these services to WordPress. Analytics can collect page views, referring sources, browser and device information and interaction events. It may use cookies or similar identifiers according to the site’s Analytics and consent settings.
Our tool event integration reports the tool name, processing success or failure, download actions and whether a target size was met. These custom events do not include selected filenames, image pixels, embedded metadata values or raw error messages. Image processing remains on your device. This integration uses the site’s existing Google tag and does not install a second Analytics tag or change its consent settings.
Search Console reports search visibility and indexing; it does not receive the image files selected in our tools. For information about Google’s handling of measurement data and user controls, see Google Analytics data safeguards and Google’s Privacy Policy. Contact us using the details above for questions about our current measurement settings.
