GIF Maker online

Make a GIF from images online. Reorder photos, set frame delays, choose dimensions and looping, then preview and download your animation. No image uploads.

  1. Choose two or more static images.
  2. Arrange frames, set timing and choose canvas dimensions.
  3. Create the GIF, preview it and download.

What to expect

GIF is limited to 256 colours per frame. Photos may show banding. Transparent input areas use the selected background. Smaller output dimensions generally make lighter animations.

How many images can I use?

Choose 2–40 JPG, PNG or WebP images. Files are limited to 20 MB each and 80 MB total, with a 40-million source-pixel budget.

Can I change individual frame delays?

Yes. Set each delay in milliseconds or apply one default to all frames. Values range from 20 to 10000 ms and are rounded to 10 ms.

Can it loop?

Choose forever or play once. Preview behaviour may also depend on the app where you later use the GIF.

Will it preserve transparency?

This version flattens frames onto the background colour you choose. It does not export transparent GIFs.

HOW IT WORKS

How gif maker works

GIF is limited to 256 colours per frame. Photos may show banding. Transparent input areas use the selected background. Smaller output dimensions generally make lighter animations.

Create consistent frames

Each source is fitted or cropped to one output canvas. Background colour fills empty and transparent regions. Width, height and total-pixel limits bound the encoding work.

Reduce colours

gifenc quantizes each frame to at most 256 palette colours and maps pixels to palette indexes. This can change gradients and photographic detail.

Encode timing and looping

GIF image data is LZW-encoded. Each frame receives a delay rounded to hundredths of a second. A looping extension requests repetition, or the file is encoded for a single pass.

Preview the encoded result

The actual GIF bytes are displayed as the animation preview. Metadata from source photographs is not copied. Smaller dimensions and fewer frames generally produce lighter files.
